In the delicate structure, the necklace is a real tribute to our ancient carders, because it recalls the carding, spinning and rolling of the wool in the ball, then it has a pointed structure like that of an Abruzzo bobbin lace.
In its colors we find the figures of flowers that grow around the Rocca di Calascio and on the high altitudes of Campo Imperatore: the thistle (blue), the crocus (purple), the Adonis (yellow), the Saxigrafa Italica (white) . Hence the choice, not by chance, of the gems set in the different versions of "Cherubino": sapphire, amethyst, ruby, emerald….
Among the most fascinating features are the seven-day processing and its realization not only exclusively by hand, but precisely according to ancient gold-working techniques that provide for the only use of tools dating back to 1700, the same kept in the Jewelery Museum in Calascio. The name "CHERUBINO" alludes to the ancient history and crafts of the Aquila Middle Ages and means "guardian, propitious, precious".
