Polychrome Owls: The owl is symbol of wisdom and knowledge. During the Middle Ages the students took exams bringing on amulets shaped owl.
Owls, in addition to bringing luck, they can also be synonymous with protection. In some places they used to sew a feather of owl on the dress of the brides as a lucky charm, and in many homes was the so-called "morning twilight", ie a hole made just below the roof that served as a nest for owls, so that would have been grateful for the hospitality and would keep away evil.
Made entirely by hand, molded, hunched up, graffiti and stained with effect ceramic glazes and paints. Created according to ancient techniques handed down by tradition ceramic of Grottaglie, this artifact is enriched with new decorative expressions and techniques of current productio.
